●     Why meat from Italy?

Together with our partners, we fight with a lot of heart and passion for the rearing of male buffalo in Italy. Since the young animals do not provide milk for mozzarella production, they have been killed directly after birth until now. In order to spare the animals this fate, we see it as our goal to contribute to sustainable meat consumption and natural animal husbandry, so that every gourmet gets to know and appreciate the meat. ●     How and where do the buffalo live?

For a long time, we were looking for suitable partners to find the best, most natural and highest quality premium buffalo meat. In the meantime, we have been able to win the world's most renowned buffalo breeders as exclusive partners in Germany, Italy and Argentina. Our partners place the highest priority on treating and raising the buffalo without stress and according to the highest standards. ●     What does buffalo meat taste like?

Around the world, buffalo meat has been enjoyed for centuries and is considered an absolute delicacy. Compared to other red meats, buffalo meat stands out for its uniquely aromatic flavor, which is characterized by fresh grasses and herbs. Unlike beef, it is not so much the fat but actually the meat itself that is the flavor carrier in buffalo. Due to the gentle rearing of the buffalo and the natural feeding, the meat remains juicy and strong in flavor during preparation despite little intramuscular fat.

●     What all do you offer from the buffalo?

Since there are not only noble cuts for us, we follow the "nose-to-tail" principle by processing the complete buffalo in our manufactory. Our exquisite premium buffalo meat is becoming increasingly established in our latitudes and is now enjoyed in the upscale gastronomy & hotel industry, as well as by gourmets at home.  ●     Is buffalo meat healthy?

Scientific analyses show that buffalo meat contains significantly more protein and a lower fat content than other red meats. In addition to a very good ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids, buffalo meat provides a disproportionately high amount of iron. Due to its valuable nutrients, buffalo meat is the basis for a healthy and balanced diet. Therefore, it is hard to imagine life without it and is not for nothing the healthiest red meat in the world.

●     How do I redeem a voucher?

On the last page of the order there is a voucher code field, in which you enter your respective voucher code and activate it by clicking on "Redeem". The voucher code will be immediately recognized by the system and deducted from the total amount directly, even before the order is completed. 
Vouchers can only be redeemed before the order process is completed. Subsequent offsetting is not possible for technical system reasons.

●     Can I give vouchers as a gift?

●     Can different vouchers and discounts be combined?

No, different vouchers and discount codes cannot be combined.

In the order process you can select your desired delivery day.

●     How long does the delivery take?

If you order before 13.00Uhr a delivery is already possible on the following day. 
The delicacies are freshly cut and packed on the day of shipment and are on the way less than 24 hours.

●     Can I also order by phone/mail?

No, unfortunately this is not possible for technical system reasons.

●     How far in advance do I need to order?

We do not need any lead time for your order! If you order by 1:00 p.m., delivery is already possible the following day.

●     What is recommended as a good start for first-time buyers?

To get started, we recommend our Tasting Box, which contains an exclusive selection of the finest buffalo cuts.

●     Is there a sales store in Singen? 

We do not currently have a sales store in this sense. However, it is possible to pick up orders from us on site. For this purpose, please enter the note "pickup" as well as the exact pickup date in the comment field. In the case of a pickup on site, the resulting shipping costs will be compensated according to the equivalent value with Büffel Delikatessen.

Shipping / Shipping costs

●     What is the composition of shipping costs?

For safe express shipping of fresh meat, our team takes the utmost care. A very well insulated special cooling box, reusable cooling pads, as well as our high quality vacuum packaging ensure the utmost freshness of your ordered buffalo delicacies. Each package is hand-packed and inspected, then delivered via express shipping directly to your door.

●     Will I receive a shipping confirmation?

After you place your order, you will receive your order confirmation by mail.  Since we only deliver by express shipping on your requested date, there is currently no possibility of tracking your goods by a tracking number. It is extremely important to us that your package arrives safely on the agreed delivery date. 

●     Is there a minimum order value?

The minimum order value in Germany and the Netherlands is 39,90 €, the delivery costs are 9,90 €. 
From an order value of 100,00 € the delivery in Germany and the Netherlands is free of shipping costs.

The minimum order value in Belgium, Luxembourg and Austria is 49,90 €, the delivery costs are 9,90 €. 
From an order value of 150,00 € the delivery in Belgium, Luxembourg and Austria is free of shipping costs.

The minimum order value to Switzerland is 59,90 CHF, the delivery costs are 14,90 CHF. 
From an order value of 165,00 CHF the delivery to Switzerland is free of shipping costs.

Packing

●     What do I do with the shipping packaging?

Our coolers are collapsible for easy storage. Optionally, they can be used the next time you go shopping to appropriately insulate products in transit. Our cold packs can also be stored in the freezer and reused. 

Delivery/First Order

●     How is the delivery done? 

We deliver our delicacies in less than 24 hours in special cooling boxes including cold packs, which are normally used for medicine. This way we can guarantee that our delicacies arrive absolutely fresh and cooled - without interrupting the cold chain - at the customer.

●     What can I do if I am prevented on the selected delivery date?

If you already know this during the ordering process, you have the option of specifying a storage location in the comments field of the order, e.g. neighbor, carport, behind the garbage can, etc..

●     I was not at home when the delivery was made.

Please make absolutely sure that someone can receive the package on the selected delivery day. Since it is chilled fresh goods, a redelivery can not be guaranteed. Our logistics partner may try to reach you by phone or leave a message card in your mailbox if the goods have been left with your neighbor or at an agreed drop-off location, such as a garage/carport, etc. Please make sure that you contact us at the address below. Please make sure you can be reached at the phone number provided.

To avoid further charges, please select the desired delivery date so that you can safely receive your order.

●     Is holiday delivery possible?

Holidays are excluded from our shipping and delivery times. We cannot guarantee delivery on a holiday within the calculated shipping charges.
Please be aware of possible holidays in your state when selecting your delivery date.

●     Is island delivery possible?

Island deliveries are excluded from our shipping and delivery times. Island deliveries may result in subsequent increased delivery charges.

●     How does shipping to Switzerland work?

We ship to Switzerland once a week, every Wednesday. For this reason, Thursday is always selectable as the desired delivery day here. 
The delicacies are less than 24 hours on the road and are delivered to Switzerland between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Preparation/Storage

●     Can the meat be frozen? 

Yes, buffalo meat can be frozen without any problems. 

●     What does blast freezing mean and what are the advantages? 

In a nutshell, rapid cryogenic freezing for maximum freshness. In blast freezing, the meat is deep-frozen at about - 40 degrees Celsius in a very short time. This process is much gentler than conventional freezing. During blast freezing, the water contained in the meat expands. As a result, only very small ice crystals form between the cell walls, which do not damage the cell membrane of the meat. As a result, the meat loses significantly less moisture and thus remains juicier.

We are happy to deliver your goods flash-frozen on request, please note this in the comments field when placing your order. Not possible for orders containing mozzarella or burrata.

●     Fresh or frozen? 

Our meat is individually freshly cut and packaged on the day of shipment, directly followed by shipping. Excluded from this are products made from minced meat and our Maultaschen. Upon request, we will gladly deliver your entire order frozen. Not possible for orders containing mozzarella or burrata.

●     How do I defrost properly?

The gentlest way to defrost meat is to take it out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator for a while before preparation and let it defrost slowly. If you need to do it faster, we recommend gently defrosting the meat in its packaging in cold water. 

How do I store the meat correctly?

A temperature of 0-2 degrees is optimal. If this is not possible, it is best to store the meat in the refrigerator at a temperature of 3-4 degrees Celsius.

●     How do I prepare the meat properly?

●     When should I take the meat out of the refrigerator? 

The meat should be taken out of the refrigerator and unwrapped one to two hours before preparation so that it slowly takes on room temperature. This will reduce the tension in the meat that occurs during roasting or grilling. The result is a more tender meat.

●     Best before date - how long is the shelf life of the meat?

Our meat usually has a shelf life of at least 7-8 days. 
Buffalo mozzarella usually has a minimum shelf life of about 2 weeks.
Our minced meat products have a minimum shelf life of about 3-4 days.
The exact respective best-before date can be seen on the packaging (also for all other products)
